Anxiety, fear and panic continues to spread world wide as the Ebola virus outbreak is now regarded as the world’s largest and deadliest disease with Psychological, Social, Cultural and Economic implications. So far, 1,013 people have died with the vast majority in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, according to the World Health Organisation report. Authorities had recorded 1,848 suspected, probable or confirmed cases of the disease. The updated WHO tally includes figures from 7-9 August when 52 more people died and 69 more were infected. At the end of last week, the World Health Organization declared the West African Ebola outbreak an international health emergency.
